Iranian short ‘Braceball’ to vie in Italy

Iran’s short ‘Braceball’ is to compete at the 2020 Rare Disease Int’l filmfest in Italy.

Iranian short ‘Braceball’ has been selected to compete at the 2020 Rare Disease International Film Festival in Italy.

Directed by Reihaneh Mortezaeenia, the short title narrates the story of a disabled child who loves to play football.

Though the boy is disabled, he tries his most to make his dream come true.

‘Braceball’ is a production of the Iranian Youth Cinema Society.

The short title has previously won the Best Short Film Theme Childhood award at the 5th Atlantic International Film Festival in Colombia.

The Rare Disease festival celebrates works that focus on the rare diseases and show how it is to live differently.

The Italian festival gives you a different look into the life of people with rare diseases.

The 2020 edition of the event has been scheduled for May 11-17.
